About

Margie completed a BA (Hons) Fine Art at Nottingham University and Is a painter, printmaker and ceramicist working on representing the female form. Inspired by human emotions, rituals, opposing cultures and their relationship to the environment. Through considered use of mixed media of textural papers and glitter, she creates works which are ethereal and otherworldly.

Margie’s work has been exhibited and collected widely in the UK through respected Open Exhibitions, including Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 22-23 and several times at the Mall Galleries, London including the Sunday Times Watercolour Exhibition, Derwent Drawing Prize, The ING the Discerning Eye exhibition 2017 - 21,23.

Margie’s awards include 2017 National Open Art Painting Prize and 2022 ING The Discerning Eye, Mentors Award. Commissions are an ongoing part of Margie’s practice alongside developing new series of work.
